Angsty Hermione

Comment: This is a quick sketch I made.  I was experimenting with a cartoon style, and I decided after drawing mounds of messy hair that it had to be the character Hermione Granger from Harry Potter.  Rowling dropped the ball in a truly epic way by taking her strongest female lead, a very bright and studious girl at that, and allowing her to be tricked into a relationship by a male chauvinist with a "Flirting for Dummies"-type book -- without ever calling him out on his piggery.  Way to go, you hack.  That's a nice message to send to female readers:  "Even the brainiest of you are just machines that need to be programmed right by a boy."

I like to think that this picture represents Hermione's feelings about the abuse and character assassination that her author subjected her to -- at least, her feelings before she gets out her wand and vents her rage.
